On my Birthday, earlier this year, my husband asked what I wanted to do. Want to know how much I love photography? I told him, I want to do a fun shoot! And he was totally happy to watch my kids so I could go play for a couple of hours.
I rented a beautiful gown from Jessica’s Photography, collaborated with my beautiful friends at Dahlias Event Planning and Floral Design for a gorgeous bouquet and the beautiful Britt gifted an hour to their gorgeous studio, Station Studio. I messaged my beautiful friend Kayla to see if her and Skyler would model and they cleared their schedule to make it all possible!! The bonus is that Kayla is not only stunning but she is a hair and makeup artist, Beauty by Kayla Vellinga, and she did her own hair and makeup for the shoot!
I couldn’t believe I was able to arrange a whole styled shoot in less than 24 hours and one that is as stunning as this!! Scroll through and see how talented each of these vendors are. Do yourself a favor and hire them! They are some of the best!
This May, Marinne & Aaron were married for time and eternity in the Las Vegas, NV Temple. It was absolutely perfect and filled with so many kind and hilarious people sharing their love to the beautiful couple.
Marinne and Aaron met in Provo at church. They didn’t hit it off at first but everything ended up molding together in the end! One thing that I love about this couple is I can tell that they motivate and inspire each other. They are so supportive of each other and are just so madly in love. They made it easy for me to capture them as a couple.
The evening of their wedding, they had their reception at Dawn Canyon Gate Country Club. It was so beautiful with mountain views in the distance on the back balcony. During their reception, there were roasts, sweet toasts, cake cutting, and killer dance moves! I love when couples have dancing for their guests! It creates such a fun environment for their guests and allows me to capture some perfect candids! Once the evening came to an end, everyone lit sparklers and cheered the couple off to start their marriage!

In March, I ran into cute Jordan again at one of my brides weddings. It was so fun to see her beautiful face again and hear about how much her little Emmy has grown since we did their pictures last summer. A couple weeks after, I got an email from her to book her family session and I was so excited! I just love this little family with all my heart and just feel like we’ve been friends forever. We decided to do a mini session (which I offer anytime if you travel to Logan guys!!) and my sweet husband found this gorgeous location for me and I was literally dying to try it out. So, thank you Jordan and Vince for coming up because it was seriously so dreamy!
Sweet little Emery just wasn’t having it during our little session. I couldn’t help but laugh because guys, my kids are terrible at photo shoots too so it make me feel more human when other kids struggle with pictures too. But if you’re the type of person who stresses out because you have high energy children, and they just want to run the whole time, and you don’t feel like you can spend the money on a family session because you think they wouldn’t turn out… I’m here to tell you, your wrong. 😉 With my style of photography and experience with my extremely difficult 4 year old I have so many tricks up my sleeve and we roll with it and they turn out so amazing! Family session are stressful. Finding the perfect photographer, outfits, location, etc. I totally understand that but no need to stress once you get to your session with me. I’ve got this

Today, this beautiful Mama is celebrating her Birthday! I couldn’t think of a better way than to share and blog this session. Her kids love her so much and so does her mountain man husband! I’ve known this little family for a few years and Lindsay is definitely one of the kindest and most giving soul. I love her to death! I hope it’s a special day Linds!
Ellie and Jorie’s wedding was one of my favorites last August. It was so classy but the taco truck brought in their relaxed personalities. Every detail of this wedding was incredible. The gray and natural earth tones are my favorite color schemes right now. And let’s talk about how gorgeous they are!
We started the day off really early with a first look/formal session at sunrise, in this gorgeous park Ellie picked. It was stunning and filled with so much beautiful, morning light. We then headed to the Twin Falls Temple. After their temple sealing, they were greeted and congratulated by all their loving friends and family. It was short and sweet!
When I arrived to their backyard reception, I just couldn’t believe how perfect it was. I was in heaven! If you haven’t noticed, outdoor receptions are my absolute favorite! I love using natural light and taking advantage of the gorgeous landscape. I was obsessed by their outdoor pool setup and how they dressed it up. Ellie teaches private swimming lessons so it was so fun to hear from all the moms there about how amazing and patient she is.
Throughout the evening it was just relaxed and of course filled with yummy tacos! At the end of the evening, Ellie and Jorie cut their cake and had the cutest little cake fight. I love when couples do this! Then they had their first dance at sunset! After their dance they lit a floating lantern and made a wish as a couple and watched it float off. To exit, they hopped on the cutest old motorcycle and left as husband and wife.
It really was a perfect day and one I’ll remember. Congrats again Ellie and Jorie! I hope you two enjoy your one year anniversary coming up in the next few weeks.
Okay, I LOVE THIS COUPLE! No joke, we laughed the entire session. Halley and Zack have been together since their freshman year in high school. After high school they both went on LDS missions. I think they are more than ready to spend eternity together! I love how comfortable they are with each other and I love how much Zack loves that his adorable fiance’ loves to eat a lot. Haha Sounds just like me and my husband! Today, I get to photograph their formals in SLC and I can’t tell you how excited I am! It made me look back at their engagement session and realize I haven’t blogged it yet and it’s one that needs to be shared! So, enjoy scrolling through. Your cheeks may hurt from smiling so much by the end though! Because who can’t help but smile?!
A couple years ago, Hannah and Trevor modeled for a workshop a friend and I put together for other photographers to come shoot a styled shoot and learn! It was such an awesome experience. Fast forward to now, they are married and have the cutest baby! I was so excited when Hannah messaged me during their visit to Utah for one of their first family sessions! Their outfits were perfect. Hannah asked what she should do for outfits and I happened to be at Roolee in Logan the same time as her! Before even noticing what she had picked out, I grabbed a dress and told my husband, “This dress would be the perfect in home session dress”. Two minutes later, I ran into her in the store and she had that dress in her arms!!! I was so happy! I then began to tell her long socks would be adorable and she grabbed the socks she was holding under the dress and I just loved that we were both on the same page! I knew the session was going to be good before we even started!
We met at Station Studio in River Heights and got started. This studio is seriously amazing with light, furniture and coloring! It made fore the perfect setting!
Dawson had my heart melting! He is such a cute baby! Full of smiles and he has the prettiest blue eyes. He loves his parents so much and I think they are pretty in love with him too. 😉 Scroll down to see the magic we created!
Gosh, I LOVE this family so much! When Natalie contacted me, she let me know they would be coming from Las Vegas. She told me how excited she was that she could finally have me take their family pictures!
This day was serious crazy! I had session after session and was literally running everything and just a tad stressed since I was not familiar with the area at all. As I literally came running down the stairs, I knew I’d love them! All of them were waving and smiling the biggest smiles! Once we talked our first words to each other, I felt at home! Seriously, I just loved everything about them. One of my favorite things about this family is how much they do together! You can tell they value each other so much and it’s their number one priority! Family is truly everything to me.
During the session, their two little boys, Aaden and Everett are just the best of friends! It helped me have hope that my two boys would eventually get along ;). TJ is seriously one of the funnest dads! Watching and capturing him interact with his boys was such a treat! Big smiles, lots of laughs, running and tackling! It was the best! When it came time to take pictures with mom, the mood completely changed! They shifted from silly to calm and snuggly. They way they looked at her, you know they value and love her. I honestly think they’ll make the best husbands and fathers! Natalie & TJ are the best parents too! They had planned a surprise for their boys after the session. They took them to DISNEYLAND!! How lucky are they?! She videoed their reactions and I was just dying over how adorable and excited they were! Seriously, winning at parenting for sure!
Anyway, to see all the love and cuteness, scroll down and enjoy!
