From the time I received the first email from Jerilyn, I knew she was my ideal client! I was booked the date she wanted but she changed her date just to have me be her wedding photographer! What?! I love her! I’m so glad she did too because from engagements to formals to wedding day, it was all perfect and I love them both!
Jerilyn and Jason met on a blind date then the rest is history! Jason is kind and can never say anything unkind about anyone. Jerilyn is outgoing, kindhearted, and so driven! They are the perfect match and I know they’ll have an eternity of laughter and happiness!
On their wedding day, it was a little stressful for poor Jerilyn! Her catering company was late and her groomsmen had to cook all the food. It broke my heart seeing her run around on her wedding day trying to organize everything, making phone calls instead of taking more family pictures and some of just her and Jason. I really wish I could have been more help but they have amazing supportive family and friends who jumped in and helped her along the way. Even though, there was this little problem on their wedding day, it was filled with lots of dancing, pretty details and love!
Their reception was a huge party! They celebrated and danced the night away till midnight!! They have a traditional wedding dance party and boy, it was seriously the best! Every single person was on the dance floor busting their moves!
I miss these two so much but I hope to spend more time with them in the future 😉 Hint, hint Jerilyn!

A few weeks before these two got married, I ran into them while I was photographing another session and it was during their formal session. Tyler’s sister is an incredible photographer, Castleberry Photography, who did their engagements and formals. She is definitely a lucky duck because I would have loved to spend more time with this happy, beautiful couple. Anyway, seeing them gave me a glimpse into what a beautiful wedding day it was going to be!
They were sealed in the Bountiful Temple and surrounded by all their family and friends who love them dearly! That evening we gathered at Tyler’s parents house for a jaw dropping backyard reception! I could not get over how beautiful it was. I knew it was going to be one of my favorite weddings this year. The weather a few days before forecasted rain, so they hustled an put up a tent and prayed it’d all work out and it definitely did!
The tent was beautifully decorated with light strung throughout and wooden tables dressed with stunning florals runners and centerpieces. The chandelier was dressed with greenery hung over the delicious taco bar for their guests. The entire yard had details everywhere. They had a beautiful arch full of flowers where they were congratulated by their arriving guests. I could just go on and on over every little detail.
Their reception was a fun environment for all their guests. They had an ice cream sandwich bar for dessert. Dancing with 2 fun DJ’s playing fun upbeat music. Relaxing places to sit away from noise and enjoy each others company. It couldn’t have been a more perfect celebration for these two! Congrats again Camille and Tyler! So happy for you both!

When Kotie and I were planning their session, she asked if it’d be okay if we did their family session on their farm land. What?! Of course we can! She mentioned the gorgeous wheat fields as an option if they didn’t need to cut it before the session. I met them at their beautiful home then we headed up. They land and light was incredible and we lucked out that they actually weren’t able to cut get to this portion of their wheat field and we made magic happen!
The light was a little harsh in the beginning but I’m obsessed with the bright and contrasted look it delivered! I love natural light so much and I love how I can learn something new about natural light each time I shoot.
During their session, I loved getting to know each of them. They are the most social, humble and thoughtful family! They trusted me 100% and Kotie hired me for the way I use light and capture raw emotion. I love when this happens! She did her research 😉 Kotie has the cutest family, the cutest hair and was so kind to get a drink and cookie from their soda shack in Clarkston for my drive home. I love them so much! I don’t know how I get so lucky to meet and work with such wonderful people!
